Drafted the Model Rules for Felling of Trees on Agricultural Land; streamlining and simplifying regulations for tree registration, harvesting, and timber transit on agricultural lands, encouraging farmers to integrate trees into their farming systems. Conceptualised and drafted first of its kind Forest Certification.
Transformed Timber Management through Digital Platforms
Conceptualised the National Timber Management System, a digital platform designed to streamline timber management from plantation to processing, improving efficiency, transparency, sustainability, and information flow across the timber industry.
Streamlined Permit Systems through NTPS Implementation
Drove 100% adoption of National Transit Pass System (NTPS), streamlined the issuance of transit permits for inter-state and intra-state transportation of timber and bamboo from private lands/government/private depot and other minor forest produce.
Redesigned Implementation Frameworks for the Green Credit Program
Redesigned the modalities for implementing activities under the Green Credit Program (GCP), with clearly defined protocols and mechanisms for credit generation, trading, and transfer among entities.
